This is an antique wood commode or potty chair made in England around 100 years ago. The commode has a white color metal enamelware pot. It has turned wood arms and legs. The commode has a mahogany color shellac finish. The cover lifts up and is held open by a folding hinge on it's left-hand side. The chair can by used as a potty, but it also can be used as a decorative piece of furniture with a flower pot in the enamel pot. The commode is 19 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 21 inches high with the cover closed. It weighs 22 pounds, 11 ounces. The finish is in very good condition with normal age wear, T are no heavy scratches or gouges. The pot has a couple of small wear spots on the bottom near the rim area. The cover in the interior above the white pot (which is removable) has a 1x6 inch piece of wood missing on the left-hand side (see photo). This is a hard to find piece in this condition.
