This piece is an estate find from an old Victorian neighborhood near Westminster Abbey. This fine double door Armoire / Gentleman's Wardrobe is done in a fine rich veneered burled walnut. Take a look at the marvelous original brass handles cast in the shape of elegant Tassels! Great Art Deco Lines & the graceful bow curved door design of this vintage beauty. The cabinet makers used the rich walnut grain to perfection. I believe the inside is fitted with striped Mahogany. Locking cabinets on each side - original key (see photos). Each cabinet door has an arched top. This great old armoire is fitted on the interior with an assortment of 4 nostalgically labeled shelves on the right side and have old Bakelite labels that read "shirts' and 'Pyjamas', 'Underwear' and 'Sundries'. Please note the 'Pyjamas' labels has a crack (see photos) Also has mounted metal tray labeled 'Studs'. (See Photos) Has a clothes bar for hanging on the left. What a marvelous piece for a guest room or your own bedroom. These great vintage pieces are also being transformed by designers into many innovative uses.
