Original antique 6" x 6" English art nouveau tile by the maker Alfred Meakin, Ltd., Tunstall, Staffordshire, England, c. 1900 - 1903. Another nice nouveau design in four majolica glaze colors: a double design of dark blue mcintosh style roses, with three classic nouveau heart-shaped leaves behind them all springing from a single entwined stem on an ivory background. In excellent condition but for some rubbing to the high points of the faux tubelined outlines at the double flowerhead.
