This auction is for a very attractive antique brass picture frame from a very good Dallas estate. Totally unmarked, but almost certainly English and I would date it to the late 1800s, ca. 1880. Unconditionally guaranteed authentic and old and NOT a reproduction. Your money, less shipping, cheerfully refunded wih *no questions asked* if you buy it and don't agree after you see it in person, but you aren't going to be disappointed. A nice example in the "chain-link" aesthetic that everyone always seems to want and --rare for antique frames-- the support back swivels so that you can use this frame either vertically or horizontally, as desired (see pics). SIZE: Image opening is 6" x 4.5" and overall size is 9.5" x 7". This fame would be perfect for displaying either a matted 4x6 photo or a lightly trimmed 5x7 photo. CONDITION: No glass or cardboard backing as the pics show, but any framing shop can provide these to you in a couple of minutes very inexpensively. Otherwise perfect without any type of wear or damage issue. No structural problems of any sort and it stands fine with no problems. No pings, dings, dents, scratches, missing parts, repairs, etc. The pics are very honest and show the condition well.
