Antique English Victorian Carved Display Stand Shelf Direct from England , this listing is for a stunning hand-carved display shelf. I selected this piece because of it's unusual styling and ornate carving - I love the birds on either side of the open carved top piece, and the four carved claw feet!! I also favor this shelf because of the multiple ways I can imagine using it - particularly to showcase a particular favorite collector item!! The stand folds down easily for storage (with hinges on the front) and is positioned open and upright by a swinging metal brace on either side of the top that attaches to an eye on each side of the base. The height when opened and upright is 30"; The footprint is 27 ¼" x 27 ¼"; The platform area is 19 ¼" x 19 ¼" and is 7 ½" from the floor; The metal/brass braces are appx. 11 ¾" length. NOTE: THE PITCHER AND BOWL FEATURED IN THE PHOTOS ARE NOT INCLUDED!! The stand is in good condition for it's age, with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches and other imperfections. PLEASE NOTE this is quite an old piece, and t are some chips on the raised wood in places, particularly around the edges, as to be expected.
