ANTIQUE ENGLISH LATE VICTORIAN SILVER GILT PEARL COILED SNAKE EARRINGS c1890 A pair of antique European silver gilt (solid sterling silver with a gold wash) earrings; beautifully modelled as coiled snakes, and set with lustrous pearls and tiny red garnet eyes. Distinctive, collectable & so wearable! CONDITION : Generally very good. Probably originally part of a larger piece, converted in antiquity - wires old replacements. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Pearls a little discoloured - perfectly natural. DEFECTS : None. DATE/MARKS : Around 1890/1900. Not marked. DIMENSIONS : Faces 31 x 29 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter. WEIGHT : Approx. 23.2 grams. our other items. Please NO RESERVE!
