Antique English Mahogany Leaded Glass Door Bookcase Queen Anne Legs, Fabulous Burl Mahogany! Direct from England, this listing is for an outstanding English mahogany bookcase, with double leaded glass doors and elegant Queen Anne legs. I purchased the bookcase in a recent English container sale - I was fortunate enough to purchase two cabinets with leaded glass doors, which is very unusual, as the leaded glass doors rarely make it through the years and to the US without damage!! Please consider the photos along with this brief list of features: · English design Leaded glass, FULL length double doors; · Beautiful burl mahogany; · Classic Queen Anne feet (all four!); · Beveled cabinet top; · Scalloped and raised top back; · Original door pulls; · Adjustable wood shelf brackets, built into the cabinet and a sign of quality construction; · Three removable wood shelves with rounded edges. Measurements : 49"H x 44 ½" x 14"; Inside cabinet, 36 ½"H x 43" x 10 ½"; Three removable shelves, 43" x 10 ½". All of my items are personally selected from European container shipments. I do not purchase in bulk, but prefer to individually purchase the items, with each piece selected for its unique characteristics and quality. Condition : The bookcase is in good condition for its age, structurally sound, solid, and sturdy, with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches and other imperfections. The glass doors DO NOT have any cracks and the glass is clear - PLEASE NOTE THE PHOTOS ARE REFLECTING THE CONCRETE WALKWAY ON THE GLASS DOORS, THEY ARE NOT HAZY OR CLOUDY. Also note the following for disclosure purposes : The key IS NOT INCLUDED in the listing!! One can be easily ordered via online antique replacement companies, and I usually have several extras, but I am completely out of extra keys at this time. The left door has a lower latch that assists in keeping the doors shut. The shelves have some use-related spotting and discoloration, but nothing out-of-the-ordinary for its age. The backside unfinished wood has some very thin splits in it - nothing that shows through on the inside of the cabinet, and a typical sign of age....the good news is the backside is thick wood and not the thin wood board found in some pieces!! I only offer carefully selected quality pieces, and always provide multiple photos and written information. I encourage you to email me with any questions you might have prior to bidding. Please keep in mind antique furniture should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character. Shipping : Professional packaging, shipping and insurance on this item will be $280.00(lower 48 states only). This bookcase exceeds the maximum shipping size for UPS Ground, so this cost is for UPS Freight. All my antique furniture is professionally packaged for shipment by UPS, resulting in very little shipping damage in the past, but sometimes creating slightly higher shipping costs on my antiques versus other sellers. I believe it is worth the few extra dollars to get your one-of-a-kind antique delivered safely to your door!! Buyer also has the option to arrange for shipping and pay shipper directly. If buyer wants to make shipping arrangements, the bookcase will be dropped off at any local shipping company for a $25.00 fee, for the shipping company to package, insure and ship item according to buyer's specifications. Local pick-up in Shreveport, Louisiana is also available to buyers in the area. Please email for arrangements; Louisiana sales tax will apply for items picked up in Shreveport.
