Presented is an extraordinary English mantle clock made out of, I believe, mahogany with an incredible butterfly inlay. The clock is in excellent condition with the exception of a couple of age cracks, but they in no way affect the operation of the clock or detract from the beauty of this piece. The body of the clock measures approximately 10-3/4" wide and it stands approximately 15" tall. The original dome glass cover is in tact as is the brass surround. The brass handle on the top is also in excellent condition as are the four brass feet. The metal face to this clock is in great shape with the exception of a small piece of the "1" missing. Above the "12" t is an adjustment for the speed of the clock and the words "Slow" and "Fast". By the number "9" t is an adjustment for either "Chime" or "Silent". This clock does come with the winding key as you can see in the pictures and I did wind it and it does work and chime. I would suggest an adjustment from a professional however, just to make sure all the parts are oiled properly. I think this is a wonderful time piece and it would look great on your mantle or just about anyw in your home. Please review the description and photographs, resolving any questions before you bid. We strive for accuracy in our descriptions, but all items are sold "as is" with no returns. Payments are Paypal only and are to be made within 48 hours of auction ending. Winning item is shipped within 2 business days via USPS Priority Mail upon payment and address confirmation unless otherwise specified.
