Antique English Oak Barley Twist Library Kitchen Table Jacobean style, FAT Barley Twist Legs, SOLID oak!! Direct from England, this listing for an outstanding antique English oak barley twist library table. The table is very heavy, SOLID oak, with fat, thick barley twist legs on big bun feet, an Â"HÂ" stretcher for support and an oak top with a large 1Â" beveled edge. I do not purchase in bulk, but prefer to individually purchase the items, with each piece selected for its unique characteristics and quality. I selected this particular table for its elegant styling and unusual design Â- this is called a library table because it does NOT extend, rather is just this square size, commonly used in a library or study area, with sturdy legs to support the weight of many books, etc. Of course, it could be used anyw in the home or office, and with its classic style, it is sure to compliment most decors, from traditional to Colonial, Tudor to Jacobean, Victorian to shabby chic!!! The table is 28 1⁄2Â"H x 33 3⁄4Â" x 36Â". It has a deep, rich finish with excellent wood grain and an outstanding aged patina.
