Antique English Oak Barley Twist Pedestal Plant Stand Largest One I have ever sold, Over 4 Feet Tall !!!! This listing is for a stunning antique English oak barley twist plant stand that is truly a treasure for those seeking the unusual and outstanding barley twist pieces. The top platform has grooved and scored edges and rests upon the thick barley twist pedestal, which is supported by three elegantly curved legs. The stand is 49 ¾" tall. The top platform is 11 ½" diameter; The footprint on the floor is 19 ¾". The stand is structurally sound and it is in good condition for it's age, with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches and other imperfections. The top platform has a very slight bow or "warp" if viewed at certain angles, and the lower pedestal has a "scar", but certainly neither detract from the beauty or functionality of this very collectible piece, and are mentioned only for full disclosure purposes. I purchased the stand at an English shipment sale. I only offer carefully selected quality pieces, and always provide multiple photos and written information. Please keep in mind antique furniture should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character. SHIPPING: Professional packaging, shipping and insurance on this item will be $120.00. (lower 48 states only). Feel free to verify it at , as that does not include any profits for the seller, it is a function of the size of this plant stand. For shipping calculations, 4" should be added to each dimension to allow for packaging in the box between the item and the box surface. All my antique furniture is professionally packaged for shipment by UPS, resulting in very little shipping damage in the past, but sometimes creating slightly higher shipping costs on my antiques versus other sellers. I believe it is worth the few extra dollars to get your one-of-a-kind antique delivered safely to your front door!! Local pick-up in Shreveport , Louisiana is also available to buyers in the area.
