Antique English Oak Carved Gate leg Drop Leaf Table Arts & Crafts era, OUTSTANDING "Tiger" Oak Grain This listing is for an absolutely stunning antique English oak gate leg drop leaf table. The styling is Arts & Crafts era, some might consider it Mission, but no one can deny that it is gorgeous, and sure to be a focal point w ever it is placed!! are the details: · The table has an oval shaped top when completely extended, that is a LARGE 55 ½", ALMOST FIVE FEET!! · The tabletop is beveled AND it has a wide carved design around the entire tabletop edge. · The legs are heavy and thick and reeded or "grooved" with large double sided feet; the gate "legs" match the table legs for a very elegant look!! · The oak has an outstanding finish, with quarter sawn ("tiger oak") grain and a lovely aged patina. · I purchased the table in an English shipment sale, along with four rush seat chairs that I am listing separately, but I have shown in one of the photos I attended over 100 European shipment sales last year, and this is one of the premier tables that I saw.........don't miss this chance to purchase a QUALITY antique table!! · This gate leg, drop leaf tables are a classic piece for any home or office, useful for so many places and purposes. With both leaves down, it has a slim silhouette, fitting almost anyw, and with both leaves up it provides a very nice, large table surface. Table Measurements: 28 ½"H x 41 ¾" x 20 ½" (with both leaves down); 41 ¾" x 38" (one leaf up and extended); 41 ¾" x 55 ½" with both leaves up and extended!!! The table is in good condition, structurally sound and visually appealing with normal signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections, but nothing that detracts from the beauty or functionality of the table!! SHIPPING: Professional packaging, shipping and insurance on this item will be $220.00. (lower 48 states only). All my antique furniture is professionally packaged for shipment by UPS, resulting in very little shipping damage in the past, but sometimes creating slightly higher shipping costs on my antiques versus other sellers. I believe it is worth the few extra dollars to get your one-of-a-kind antique delivered safely to your door!! Local pick-up in Shreveport, Louisiana is also available to buyers in the area.
