Direct from England, this listing is for a beautiful antique British slant front letter box or deskâe¦..with outstanding, elegant floral carvings on all sides, on all moldings, on all the outer edges!!! The ornately carved pair of locking doors opens separately and reveals an interior fitted with four letter slotsâe¦.. with a hidden carved front single drawer below. The carved box is appx. 10 3⁄4âeH x 14 3⁄4âe x 7âe; it has a very dark finish and the box is in good to very good condition for its age, with LESS THAN normal signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections. The raised carving is in BETTER than normal condition, with very little (if any) damageâe¦âe¦.no major chunks missing, no unsightly water or ink damageâe¦âe¦just simply beautiful and ready to adorn your home or office!! It does NOT have the key, but of course most local key makers could make a duplicate for around 15.00.
