Antique teapot, probably English. No makers mark or country of origin. The number 653 is painted on the underside. The design is reminiscent of an Imari style in gold, cobalt and red. No chips or cracks. T is very slight crazing on interior and a small hairline crack visible on underside. The hairline crack does not go through. Some gold shows wear to be expected on an antique of this age and quality. The finial shows the most wear to the gold including some loss and lack of lustre. Measures 10 3/4" from spout to handle. The height is approximately 7". A fantastic find for your collection.
