ANTIQUE ENGLISH VICTORIAN PERIOD GOLD WOVEN HAIR SENTIMENTAL EARRINGS c1850 A terrific pair of antique English, Victorian period long drop earrings; beautifully made, the bodies constructed from very finely woven hair, with 9 carat gold (tests thereabouts) fittings, lustrous pearls and hollow gold orb drops. A beautiful, typically Victorian pair of sentimental earrings - fabulously collectable! CONDITION : All original and generally good. Wires probably old replacements. Slight signs of wear, some areas of fraying and splits to hair around bases, easily improved. Bodies mishapen (see pics) - should steam back into shape with a little effort. DATE/MARKS : Around 1850/60's. Not marked. DIMENSIONS : Total drop 3 inches excl. wires (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or � of an inch diameter.
