Welcome to Antiques & Moore! THIS LISTING IS FOR A LOVELY ANTIQUE STAFFORDSHIRE POTTERY TEAPOT WITH MATCHING TRIVET IN GAUDY WELSH DECORATION. This unusual hexagon shaped teapot is decorated with a beautiful Gaudy Welsh colors of cobalt and rust hand painted with gilt overlay on a white background. The white trivet has a cobalt enameled band around the bottom and gilt trim and is original to the teapot.Marked with maker's stamp "H. J. WOOD" and "Burslem, England". The teapot is in very good condition although there are a couple of small chips around the upper rim and rubbing to gold on spout. There is a small tight hairline on the interior lid. The trivet is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks although there is light crazing throughout. Teapot measures 6" high (on trivet), 8 1/4" wide and 5 1/2" deep. Trivet measures 3/4" high and 5 1/2" wide. We at Antiques & Moore have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible.
