NO RESERVE...This is an ANTIQUE VERY EARLY circa 1887 Baseball Trophy...A LARGE 14 inches tall...It is a Meriden silver plate coffee pot made in the aesthetic style with foliage at the rim and base, engraved as a baseball trophy... The engraving is on three sides with the front and back having crossed bats and a ball beneath a complete team roster listed by position and under the spout the dedication " Pres. P. Dieter Presented to Manager H. Cullin III by the King Bee B.B.C. (Base Ball Club), Feb. 19th. 1887"...The names of players listed on the sides are as follows (as best I can tell)...Pitcher Ed. Matheson...Catcher M. Gavigan...1st Base W. Welch...2nd Base R. Gunderson...3rd Base J. Bacon...Short Stop F. Fontaine...Left Field J. Griffin...Captain Center Field M. Burke...Right Field Al Matheson...The pot has some denting, but overall it is still a nice and very historical early baseball item...Buyer Pays Shipping.
