This auction is for a Very Nice Vintage And / Or Antique Matched Set Of F.B. Rogers Silverplate Goblets & More In Very Good Condition. No Reserve Auction I'm no expert on antique silverplate items. Golf clubs & guitars are my main area of interest, but I know nice things when I see them, and this set falls into that category. Overall condition of the set is excellent. The only piece that has a different pattern than the close-up shot of one of the stems is the butter dish (I think it's a butter dish). 27 pieces that are a matched set, plus the other. T are no dings, dents, or bends anyw, including the rims. No missing parts. Everything is straight. 4 of 10 the tall goblets have what I would call semi-cracks & t in the sides (see photo). The one in the photo is the only one that has that spot that looks like an old tag on the inside (I don't know what it is). Only 1 of them has a crack that goes all the way through. None of the others have any of this. T are some very light scratches & t on some, but not bad at all. The matching pieces all have the exact same stamp on the inside of the base (see 2nd to last photo). My pictures of the name aren't very good. They are all very clear, with depth in person. On the 27 pcs: F. B. Rogers / Silver Plate / Made In Spain On the butter dish: Trade Mark / crown logo in between the date 18....83 / FB Rogers Silver Co / 1959 (I think that's a pattern number, not a date) The butter dish may or may not be silverplate. It doesn't say, & I don't know. It's definitely silver-something. Very nice, with a heavy feel. I don't know if the matching 8 pieces (with the widest rims) are for drinking, or are some sort of tall dish. I took a little Tarn-X to a few small spots to see how they will polish up. Looks beautiful. I'll leave it up to the winning bidder to do what they will in that department. I have no idea of the actual age, or the specific names of the patterns. I did some research, but came up empty. They look like they've been around for quite awhile. I just added a rotated version of the same shot of the stem pattern...for those of you with neck problems. Sorry for any inconvenience or unnecessary suffering. Nice pattern. Measurements are as follows (forgive my ignorance on correct names): Tall Goblets: 7 1/8" tall X 3 1/2" across the rimWide Rim Pieces: 5 5/8" tall X 4 3/8" across Small Goblets: 5 1/4" tall X 2 3/4" across Snifters: 4" tall X 2 7/8" (fat part) X 2 3/8" rim Butter Dish: 8 3/8" long X 5 1/8" wide X 1 4/3" tall Please feel free to email me with any questions. I'll do my best to get you the answer. Beautiful Set. This Batch Is Likely Worth The Price Of Admission, Even If Only As Scrap Metal. Thanks for stopping by. ***The shipping weight is approximately 16 lbs. and will require a fairly large box for thorough packaging. Fully insured shipping & handling via FedEx Ground is a flat $25.00 to the lower 48 states.*** * Please contact me for international shipping quotes "At Cost"
