Up for auction is an unusual set of antique Balance Scales. The body measures 15 inches long by 9 inches tall and made of cast iron. The bowls are made of brass and stamped into the bottom of each one is "FENER No. 116523". The brass bowls measure 7 1/2 inches in diameter. Embossed on each side of the base is "5kg" and then a star symbol in each corner. The base has been painted red with gold accents and would look really nead with a new paint job. I've never run across scales quite like these before.
