I am listing a variety of nice estate-fresh Old and Vintage Items this week.Here is a nice quality ANTIQUE GERMAN BLACK FOREST CARVED CUCKOO CLOCK with THREE DETAILED CARVED BIRDS ON CLOCK. Clock is approx. 25-1/2" tall from top of carved crest to bottom. Looks to be c.Late-19thC to Turn-of-the-Century vintage to me. The interior brass clock works are marked "Made in Germany".Clock is in "As Found" condition out of old estate storage. Clock is in non-functioning condition as you see it. The interior works look to be pretty much all there (though I don't know a lot about clocks myself). The two top bellows have deteriorated and missing material between the boards with both top boards loose but the bellows boards are there. The mechanical wooden cuckcoo bird seems to be intact and springs out fine. I believe the carved face for the pendulum is there but the attaching stick for pendulum is missing. The exterior has cracked areas on the applied carved decorations which have been reglued back together in a careless way in it's history: The large carved top crest is sitting loose on clock with a crack line across the left side branch. Also, a section of this bird's front wing separated and was badly reglued back on slightly lower than it should be. The wing looks to be all there however.
