If it's not top notch' we won't sell it! Introducing A very nice Half size Flat top Steamer Trunk Easy to move around and useful! It has been Professionally refinished by us. The old canvas covering was removed and it was refinished in our shop. These little beauties are getting rare! Reason being nobody lets them go! Made G. Mortimer around 1885 this little beauty would add to any setting. This trunk has real nice thick pine 1"! and great oak slats' Really shows the beauty of the wood in clear finishes! The top is completely flat Both making it a functional table and elegant storage piece. Very beautiful wood indeed. It has the original lid stay to hold the top open and notice the decorative metals used in the draw bolts'' #2 hasps . A unique feature with this trunk, it has perfectly wrapped banding around the top lip w the lid rests when closed to keep from damage when the trunk is being closed. 4 sets of barrel coasters on the bottom to move it around. I kept the 'original' color in the wood. I applied a nice brass finish on the lock and hardware. Brass, not gold. Very sharp! The cast iron metals were stripped treated with satin black enamel. T are 2 strong hinge straps on the back and she opens and closes like new. The inside was Stripped and sealed with 2 coats of satin sealer. Buyer can order a glass top from any local glass company. All cast iron hinges and clasps are strong and in good working order. We try to take very clear pics of our work so we hope you enjoy them! Trunks are unique and the chances of another exactly like the one you wanted may not be seen for a long time. Size 25"L X 18"H"X 16"W 45.00 USA for shipping , boxed, padded and insured.
