We have for you today an exquisite, antique, oak flatware chest. This is a huge box. It measures 20" x 15 1/2" x 11 3/4". It is footed and the style is an inbetweener. It has Victorian elements and the functioning elements of the arts and crfts movement, The hardware plays a definite role in the design. The front columns swing out after the lid is opened so, you can open the drawers. The oak is a full 3/4" thick and the green wool felt is in good condition through out. It has three levels but, what is impressive is the depth of the levels. The lid and the 1st level combine for 3" in depth, the 2nd level is 1 1/2" deep and the 3rd (bottom) level is 2 3/4" deep. There are a few nicks and the finish is old of coarse but , I think that it is in great condition. The are compartments for everthing imaginable. I welcome any questions.
