Of My…I absolutely Love this fabulous Antique 1907 Staffordshire "Gloire"Wash Bowl and Pitcher Set. It is adorned with the most lovely floral design boasting an all favorite design of Roses. If the roses aren't pretty enough on their own, the artist has added gold gilding all over the entire set. Breathtaking does not adequately desribe these. The mark is from Arthur J. Wilkinson 1907 before he added his name. Check it out on: /mark/w/wilkinson.html The set boasts a Pitcher and Bowl. The date of the pieces were determined by the stamp on the bottom of each individual piece. The pattern name is "Gloire". The set is from the Royal Staffordshire Pottery line with a Lion Crest and Burslem England F.C markings. The condition is a amazing for an Antique set. I could find no flaws except an occasional glaze pop along with a few flea bites from firing. No hairlines, repairs or seen with the visible eye. There is a tiny bit of crazing on the inside of bowl along with a bit of discoloration...tiny bit. I also noticed a small blue smudge under the glaze on the bowl...done before firing. Picture 6 shows a small imperfection on bottom of pitcher. Pieces this beautiful and in this wonderful of condition come around seldom in ones lifetime. Pitcher measures a Huge 11" Tall and is 11.5" at its widest point Bowl measures 16.5" at widest point x 5 3/4" deep No refunds once purchased. All items come from a smoke and pet free home.
