Outstanding antique flow blue plate dating from the 1850s. This is the Fasan (or pheasant) pattern by V&B: Villeroy & Boch. It is signed on the back. The piece has very rich coloration and a intricate design of the birds, a moth, and a fantastic bush with leaves, flowers, berries and thorns. Rimmed with a star like band. T is a factory pottery pop in the wing of the top bird, as pictured. The plate also has flow blue plants on the back. It has glaze crazing and discoloration: this is a normal occurance with the ironstone used in flow blue. It has no cracks, chips or hairlines. Measures 9" in diameter. A wonderful piece for the discriminating collection: don't delay and place your bid right away! Please note: a $1 packaging materials fee is added and reflected in the shipping calculator below.
