Antique Child's Folding Carpet Rocker Search Antique folding sewing carpet rocking chair or rocker measures about an overall width of 20", 20" front to back, a seat height of 12", and the height from floor to top of back at 34" high. It folds closed with the aid of metal hardware attached to each side. It then measures about 20" wide x 27" high, and 6" deep. Not sure what type of wood this is, maybe walnut, but has a varnish darkened by age. The back and seat are covered with a heavy carpet type material with a nice design both on the back and the seat - like a house or cabin. The top back is open w you can see the hand stitching used to hold the back to the frame. The front of the seat also has hanging tassels. Everything looks to be original. Condition: Good for it's old age! Frame is very sound. Carpet is a little loose w it is attached to the back. Some wear to the "carpet". At the top of the back t is a decorative ball at the center and looks like it may have had another on each side of it at one time. This could be picked up (in Troy, PA 16947) but we could package it for mailing. My estimate for shipping (UPS) in a large box is $40.
