A beautiful antique footed burl bowl with flared rim. This one has a nice dry surface with good patina and plenty of character . I'm not sure exactly what type of wood it is, perhaps maple, but it is certainly a burl of some sort. As you can see in the photos, there's a number of shrinkage cracks in this piece, some of which have old repairs. The long meandering crack on the inside of the bowl is stable and does not extend to the exterior surface. There are also a couple small chunks out of the foot rim as well..(see pics for detail)....
