DESCRIPTION I'm clearing an estate for a friend and will be listing some lovely silver, crystal and glass in the coming weeks, so please check my other auctions. She thought this Forbes Silver Co. quadruple plate coffee/tea service might have belonged to her grandmother. I found one on Replacements, but t was no pattern name. Stylistically, I believe this is late 19th/early 20th century. I can only assume this has been replated at some time (and well done if that's the case) because it's just stunning with no loss whatsoever to the silver plating. I hope my pictures display the incredible detailing to the spout of the 7 3/4" tall coffee pot. T's also a 4" creamer and 6 3/4" covered sugar. I think the larger two handled piece was used as a waste bowl, but is probably a larger sugar bowl missing its lid. In my photos, the pieces look darker around the top but it's just the bulbous bottom reflecting against the top. This set looks like it was made yesterday. It was sitting on a F.
