Old Franciscan Desert Rose6 Coffee - Tea Cups and SaucersThese are in excellent condition! Have been stored in quilted China storage units that are included in auction.This is one of the most popular patterns in the country. A set was said to have been purchased by Jackie Onassis. The company was sold many times and eventually production moved to England. The Desert Rose pattern made in California is the most valuable and better quality.Included is (1) teacup and saucer with the "Franciscan ware" old mark, dating it back to 1941-58. Cup has "made in USA" and number scratched into it, saucer has traditional "franciscan" old mark in black ink.Rest of cups (5) are marked "made in England", dating them to 1985-2003, but knowing the collector we think they are between 1985-90.5 saucers are marked as follows: (1) Franciscanware old mark dating 1941-58. (4) "flying f's" dating back to 1976-1984. And (2) "microwave safe interspace half moon marks", which dates them approximately from 1976-78.In total, there are 6 cups and 7 saucersWhat a great completion to any collector's set or a perfect gift for the shabby chic decorator!These are marked as described below and/or shown in photo(s).
