This is a Fabulous Antique French 19th Century, 950 Solid SILVER MONSTRANCE that boasts Vermeil (a Gold wash on the Silver) Detailing on the rays!

This item stands an Impressive 26 1/2" Tall, and the rays at the widest point are about 13 1/4" in diameter...the base measures about 7 1/2" x 6 3/8"
This item is Clearly hallmarked in many locations....as Follows.....
The hallmarks found on this item are the French 950 MINERVA Hallmark, and a Diamond/Lozenge shape with a Makers mark of FF with a symbol in between the F's....
-On the back of the Monstrance at the very bottom of the base in the center t is BOTH the MINERVA Hallmark and the makers mark .
-T is the MINERVA hallmark on the RAYS on the front of the monstrance just to the right of the Cross at the top...
-Near the top of the cross, (at the top center of the Monstrance) t is BOTH the MINERVA silver hallmark, as well as the FF makers mark...see images...
-On the front of the Monstrance, to the lower right of the beveled glass on the silver central section, t is another MINERVA 950 Hallmark...
-Also on the INSIDE of the door located on the back of the Monstrance...(marked on the bezel tab)--t is another MINERVA Mark...and further around the bezel t is the FF makers mark.
These are all of the hallmarks that I have found as of Today....Though it wouldn't surprise me if t were more that I just haven't noticed yet!

This Monstrance boasts Beautiful Ornamentation!...the front (surrounding the glass)- is detailed with several angel faces...as well as sheafs of wheat and grape motifs....see images....
The column is ornamented with Two Angel faces one on each side of the central column...and if you look closely, you can see their wings gracefully decorating the column!....(on the back of the column, the BACKS of these angels heads are shown---complete with a head of hair!!)
The base has wondeful scroll and acanthus leaf designs...the front has the Lamb symbol, done in Gold Vermeil so that it really stands out against the Silver base!....see images..
T are images of the 10 commandment tablets...also depicted on the back of the column section of this Monstrance...
When you turn this item around, you can see that the details are just as rich and interesting on the back of the Monstrance as on the front!...see images....
In the center of the rays, t is a glass window section on this Monstrance..the front of this area has a beveled panel of glass.....On the back of this item, t is a latch and a door that has a flat glass panel in it...t is No Luna to hold the host ...see images...T is a notch visible just below the back door that would have held the Luna in place....though the luna is no longer with this item.
T is a small section of the inside bezel that holds the glass in the back door that is missing...please see images...--this small section of silver that is gone in no way affects the security of the glass in the door..., and is not visible when the door is closed...see images...
T are 5 nuts visible on the back of this item around the Glass ....the lower right nut appears to have been replaced in the past...(the other 4 nuts are silver--and this lower right nut is brass...I have taken a close image that shows the lower left and lower right nuts so that you can better see the differences between them......see close image of this ....)--
The top section of this Monstrance is able to be removed from the Column for ease in shipping...and the central column unscrews from the base as well....
This Monstrance weighs a total of about 1,143 grams, making it about 36.75 Troy ounces.....---that is OVER 3 TROY POUNDS!

This item is in Very good Vingage Condition!....I can locate no Dents or major scraches on this item.....(just the very faint and fine surface scratches that you expect to find on vintage silver items....)---
I would have to categorize this piece to be in VERY Good - Excellent Vintage Condition!
