VANITY LAMP FRENCH CAMEO GLASS DAUM BROTHERS COMPANY NANCY REGION OF FRANCE This is an absolutely beautiful vanity or table lamp from Daum Nancy, incredible workmanship. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or crazing. Only some rusting on fixtures and cord wear due to age, all repairable or replaceable. Features a winter scene with snow, showing windmills, a church and village with white birch trees. This was acid etched and enameled and then re-fired. Metal fittings at the top of the vase-form base hold the neck and socket. It has been converted or electrified and the original silk-covered wiring is still in place. While it is brittling, it is still serviceable, but I would suggest replacing for safety. A three-pronged shade holder is shaped to receive a 5 1/4" diameter ball or globular shade. The base measures 4" in diameter and the lamp is 11" tall from base to socket. Socket is stamped Bryant, 250 v. Made in USA Patented Nov 26, 1907, so this lamp was made prior to that date in France and then converted in the USA. T is a second socket on the inside of this lamp for another small bulb to better accent and light the artwork I haven't tried to unscrew or open this area to inspect and I have not attempted to clean this lamp in anyway, I'll leave that to the new owner. I am listing this lamp well below the appraised value and hope someone will enjoy it in their home! Please don't hesitate to email any questions you may have and I'll do my best to answer! Thank you for your consideration! Will email additional photos at your request. Please check my auctions and store frequently, as I am always listing fresh merchandise! Remember to visit my store, Our Vintage Treasures! Thanks and happy bidding! Insurance is optional and recommended . I am not responsible for loss, damage or theft of uninsured packages. I pack all items very carefully, but postal accidents do happen on rare occasions. If your item is damaged in shipping, you must keep all original shipping material and the item in order for me to file an insurance claim with the post office. Thank you!
