This is a Antique French Carriage Clock which i recently purchased at an estate sale, the clock has been running smoothly for approx. 1 week keeping time somewhat accurately only being a few minutes slow which may be caused from not being oiled and cleaned for a while or a simple adjustment. The clock strikes on command loud with clearity on the hour & 1/2 hour with the chime fully in tact. The mercury pendulum is in very good condition showing patina to the brass and no chips or cracks to the glass cylinders with the mercury in tact, the adjustable pendulum sways smoothly and is fully functional. The face of the clock which i believe is porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing showing no wear and the hands are also in excellent condition showing no wear functioning properly. The time & chime turn keys are in excellent condition winding smoothly, the clock key is included and in excellent condition fully in tact. The inner components of the clock seem to be complete and in excellent condition but many pictures have been provided for you to decide, the clock is also hallmarked "Made In France 9838 / 5 8" with the makers seal & name which i cannot make out because of it's size (see picture 9).
