You are bidding on an Antique French Empire Marble Top Commode Cabinet Chest. This piece is a RARE FIND because of its size, age and beauty and was signed & dated back to the late 19th Century dated Circa 1879 and we believe its from France. It sits on beautifully rounded legs with bronze ormulu trim going around the legs. It has 2 large doors with shelving all lined in beautiful mahogany and all mortise and tenon construction. Each side has nicely rounded columns with bronze floral carved motifs at each side and a beautiful Ancathus efloral leaf at the center. This is a very rare find to see a piece signed and dated and can be used for anything and anyw throughout your home that I PROMISE will be a topic of conversation. It has a beautiful and exotic flame / crotch swirl natural figured mahogany wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses anything that is made today and all wood construction but Please understand that this is an antique so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age and does need some touch up but overall its in excellent shape. It measures approx 45 1/4 inches wide, 29 3/4 inches high and approx 27 inches deep.
