~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ ~*~This buy it now is for this beautiful, 100% hand-woven roll of antique/vintage European hemp/linen roll measuring ~*~(9.73 yards) 29.2 feet long by 22.8 inches wide (8.9 meters by 58cm) ~*~* This amazing and wonderful roll is a very rare Chunky medium open weave roll that has a STUNNING pale, Gustavian tone! It is quite rare to find such a pale linen in the thicker chunkier weave and this linen is simply amazing! One side has a lovely brighter creamy tone and the other is slightly warmer cream in tone, perfect for multiple projects. ~*~ it is a nice and long roll that is heavy weight, very very durable, will last for generations! T is also some beautiful slubby and nubby surface texture on this roll, it will be the topic of converstation for many years to come ~*~ this roll is freshly laundered and ready to use for any project! T is a wonderful thin red stripe that runs the width of this roll, just after the first yard. This is the signature of the woman weaver of this roll~*~ would make a beautiful pillow etc ~*~ Perfect for slipcovers, upholstery, bedding, curtains, clothing, and many many other projects~*~ a wonderful wonderful roll ~*~ I have attached a photograph of a chair that was upholstered using my linen very similar to this roll~*~ ( chair not included in this buy it now) Perfect for slipcovers, table runner, curtains, upholstery, pillows, tablecloths, napkins, clothing....you name it! This would make amazing heirloom projects! ~*~ it is another wonderful textile treasure~*~ This linen is just beautiful when seamed for larger projects that require wider widths~ if you require larger amounts of linen please email me as my backstock is vast and I can usually match larger quantities for large projects~*~ This roll is very very beautiful~*~* *~* This roll is in wonderful condition~ unused and original condition, just some very very light storage dust that will wash ! ~*~ simply wonderful. ~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains,clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, on warm..if t is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and t is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). They can be dried in a dryer also which will add a softer, fluffy texture to the textile! I like to add Downy Ultra to my last rinse cycle for an added touch of softness~ Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage ( I always list the content so if it doesn't red that it has a cotton warp or weft, it is pure linen or hemp) . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! ~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~ All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are innt ...adding to their rustic charm~*~ These rolls are increasingly difficult to find as they have been used so extensively over the past 20 years.
