~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ ~*~This buy it now is for this beautiful, 100% hand-woven roll of antique/vintage European hemp/linen roll measuring ~*~ (15.3 yards) 45.9 feet long by 25 inches wide (14 meters by 71cm) ~*~* Beautiful, beautiful beautiful. If you are looking for an antique linen that is wide, amazingly durable, full of hand-woven charm~ this is your roll. This roll of hand-woven French linen is just beautiful. Lovely and wide, thick durable and beautiful cool, pale oatmeal tone. The weave is a wonderful finer weave and the weight is not as heavy as the thick chunky rolls, with a slightly smooth surface texture. It has wonderful body and flow~ making it a perfect choice for curtains, slipcovers and many many upholstery project, bed covers etc! ~!*~ . This textile has the most amazing natural striations and tonal variations, from a straw tone to a lovely pale pale tone, this gives this roll unique character and charm, it is just wonderful. This roll is perfect for someone who is looking to create a look of French country charm! ( I have attached some photographs that one of my designers has sent to me that shows my textiles in action! ~ furniture not included in buy it now ) Perfect for slipcovers, table runner, curtains, upholstery, pillows, tablecloths, napkins, clothing....you name it! This would make amazing heirloom projects! ~*~ it is another wonderful textile treasure~*~ This linen is just beautiful when seamed for larger projects that require wider widths~ if you require larger amounts of linen please email me as my back stock is vast and I can usually match larger quantities for large projects~*~ This roll is very very beautiful~*~* *~* This roll is in wonderful condition~ it is unused and in original condition, about 100 years old! ~ this roll still has the original loom ties attached on the end. This roll has storage dirt that will wash, t are some "cloudy" areas on the roll that are natural tonal variations ( pictured) that simply add to its rustic charm. It is a wonderful wonderful textile treasure~*~ ~*~These textiles are, by nature, Eco-friendly! The average age of these textiles is 100 years and they were naturally home grown, home retted ( in local lakes and ponds) and woven by hand. These textiles are being re-cycled today and showing off the extreme craftsmanship of past generations! Yet another feature that makes these textiles extremely eco-friendly is their durability. These textiles were designed to endure generations of constant use~ and will have an extremely long life. The timeless beauty of this linen and their extraordinary quality make these textiles the perfect choice for any home~ and an environmentally friendly choice~*~ ~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains, clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, on warm ..if t is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and t is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). They can be dried in a dryer also! I like to add Downy Ultra to my last rinse cycle for an added touch of softness~ Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage ( I always list the content so if it doesn't red that it has a cotton content, it is pure linen) . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! New Hemp can be soaked in water for 3 days and then washed on regular cycle to soften or one can use liquid fabric softener if desired. Most of my rolls don't tend to need any add...
