Magnificent antique French linen sheet in great condition, with a heavily embroidered scalloped edge and JW monogram I was delighted to discover this, such a beautiful example of linen from the trousseau of a happy bride from here in the Auvergne. It features an ornate scalloped embroidered edge with flowers and a centrally positioned J W monogram picked out in cream embroidery, embellished with flowers. The sheet has been used and washed : there are 2 little laundry marks, one each end. On one edge , about a third of its length from the bottom there is a small (1") but very clever mend. **************************************************************************************** It measures 69" by 104" ( 174 cm by 264 cm ) Each monogram letter measures 4 1/2 inches by 8 inches (11 or 12cm by 20 cm ). It weighs 3 lbs (1.4 kilograms) Please do ask me any questions about this item - shipping would include insurance and tracking.
