An expert Dollmaker just emailed us to let us know that our gorgeous antique reproduction doll is a Cody or Long Face Jumeau. Some Jumeau dolls are marked with an 11 as this doll is marked. All of the French dolls and French reproduction dolls have a distinctive somewhat sophisticated look. Our lovely young lady has a skillfully painted porcelain head and a composition body, arms, hands, legs and feet. Her legs are a bit tightly strung but still move easily. Her beautiful bisque face is very finely made with large blue stationary paperweight glass eyes and thick brown eyebrows. She has finely painted upper and lower lashes and a tiny pale red dot in the corner of each eye. Our girl has softly painted full pink lips and gently blushed cheeks. There is also a pale red dot in each of her nostrils.She has ball jointed arms and legs. Her legs can bend at the hip and the knee. Her arms can bend at the shoulder, elbow and wrist. Her pretty head can be posed in many adorable positions. Her long pale blue gown is absolutely gorgeous!Part of her skirt and her long sleeved top are a luscious blue taffeta-like material. The rest of her lovely dress is covered with white ace and netting, accented with ribbons and silk flowers. She carries an old-fashioned style purse in one hand. Her long blonde hair is beautifully set in a Victorian style with a mass of long curls which complement her old fashioned dress just perfectly. A magnificent bonnet adorned with pale blue flowers and ribbons sits upon her curls and adds charm to her already lovely hairstyle. Her wig comes off easily when you remove her hat. She is wearing cream stockings and black shoes with bows. We tied her purse on with a ribbon so it wouldn’t get lost.Our Charmer is marked with the number “11.” on the back of her neck. She also has “Judi 85” etched under the number 11. We will include a doll stand. SIZE Our lovely doll measures about 18 inches tall.CONDITION This delightful young French Lady is in Excellent Gently Displayed Condition. Her legs are a bit tight as mentioned above. Her period reproduction clothing is exquisite. She displays superbly as you can see from the photos! SHIPPING We can combine shipping with some other items, depending on size and weight.
