A Charming French Louis 19thCentury pot bedside Cabinet. This piece would date to the last quarter of the 19th century. It is made from Walnut and stands on slender carved cabriole legs ending with carved escargot feet. The legs end up on the top with carved acanthus leaves. The inside pot cabinet still has its original five side marble liner and is enclosed with a single door. This door has an applied panel, brass catch and wooden turned knob. The frieze drawer is constructed with hand cut dovetail joints with turned knob and applied molding. The top of the cupboard has a moulded edge and walnut top in harmony with the decoration on the front and sides of the piece. The top is all good with no marks or scratches. The cabinet has been treated and polished. The cabinet is 83 cm high and 40 cm square. Because of the age and weight of this item I would prefer it to be collected in person, which might be arranged in New Malden (Surrey) and Richmond (London) as well.
