You are bidding on an Antique French Louis XVI Sofa Loveseat Settee Bench. This is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and dates back to the mid-late 19th Century Circa 1880 possible earlier made in Paris, France. This piece was VERY WELL made and of the HIGHEST quality and is carved from SOLID Brazilian Rosewood and is by far one of the NICEST French sofas I have ever brought to market and this is the REAL goods. This piece sits on beautifully tapered and rounded legs with reeded trim work. The top of each leg has beautifully carved rosettes with scallop bead carved trim going throughout the entire piece. It has beautiful Scalamadre Satin Stripe upholstery with brocade embossed trim. The top has a beautifully carved Wreath shaped motif with bell flowers carved at each side as shown in the photos. The armrests are beautifully curved and scrolled with floral carved Ancathus leaves. Each corner of the top rail has beautiful floral carved finials as well. This is GORGEOUS and is Museum quality. The piece was hand carved from Brazilian Rosewood which is one of the most expensive, exotic and sought after woods the market had to offer and is extinct today so we do know this piece came from a prominent home. This is an EXCELLENT accent piece that I PROMISE will be a topic of conversation and pieces like this are getting very hard to find and done in the manner of King Louis Phillipe of the Louis XVI Period of the 19th Century. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING made today and is all wood construction but Please understand that this is antique so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age and the upholstery needs to be professionally cleaned and touched up or recovered but overall its in excellent shape. This piece measures approx 71 1/2 inches long, 42 inches high, 25 inches deep and sits at approx 16 inches in height.This is a NO RESERVE auction and since I am assuming all the risk by starting the bidding at $1 dollar you will have to pay for shipping.
