~*~Hello and thank you for looking ~*~ This auction is for this lovely piece of Antique French fabric dating c1850-1870~*
This textile is stunning. This is a piece of very old Paisley, Turkey red ~*~* This fabric was once part of a large quilt that had seen better days. The date on this textile is conservative, I would not be surprised to find it is earlier~*~The printing is superb quality and the cotton is a lovely very fine weave. These paisley pieces are very rare to find and this is an amazing example ~ this particular print is incredibly beautiful and the symmetry of the pattern is breathtaking. The detail shows the amazing craftsmanship in the printing~*~ I am selling this piece by the length, so each purchase is for a length that measures 2.49 feet by 2.26 long (76cm wide by 69cm long) ~should you require a longer lenght, simply change the quantity button to 2 and you will receive a long length measuring 5 feet long by 30 inches wide~*~The condition of the length in this auction is good. This piece was once part of a quilt so t are still the quilting lines visible in places. T are some small marks that I don't think will fully wash~ Some of the little threads from the quilting still remain~ when held to the light one can see a few tiny holes. This piece is so wonderful, very light weight a slightly fragile, so perfect for projects that are not going to receive constant use , or wonderful part of any collection.
