You are bidding on a PAIR of BIG & BEAUTIFUL Antique French Tudor CARVED Tiger Oak Renaissance China Cabinet Bookcases. These are BEAUTIFULLY made and BEAUTIFULLY CARVED with Lions, Leaves, Figs, Flowers, Garlands, French Ribbonbacks Designs and the list goes ON. These are from the Second Period of the 19th Century and ate back to Circa 1860 from France. This is one of the RAREST FINDS and I have NEVER come across a pair of matching china cabinets of this size especially from the 19th Century and are truly a one of a kinds due to its age, size and beauty and is a GRAND piece. Each piece has double doors atthe top and bottom with a single drawer which are all doweled and dovetailed together with brass pull handles that have a floral pattern etched into the brass itself. Some of the detailed carvings come out as far as 3 inches. All the doors have brass milled mortise locks with key and the top doors have BEAUTIFUL Satin glass leaded windowns as shown in the pictures below. The bottom doors have a beautifull carved Ribbon back motif with beautiful floral scenery. Each side at both the top and bottom have the carved Lion heads with a floral leaf pattern going down each side. It has nicely curved and carved with large spindle columns and a beautiful spindle carved gallery at the backsplash of each of the cabinets. The inside of the glass cabinet has glass shelving and lighting was added to BOTH cabinets. T are also removable wooden beams on each side of the piece because at one point that must have had glass or wooden shelving made to make a HUGE cabinet so t is much you can do with these in being creative and truly decorator pieces. The top has beautiful Ancathus leaf floral columns with a nice floral decor design carved throughout the top crown molding. Throughout the edges of the piece has nice scallop carved detail with just to much to list. The top crown as well as the bottom base molding is all beautifully carved as well. This PAIR was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING made today and is all wood construction but Please understand that this is antique that is almost 150 years old and it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall they are both in excellent shape. Each piece measures approx 43 1/4 inches wide, 92 1/2 inches high and approx 22 inches deep.
