FREE SHIPPING and STUFFED WITH INSERT!!! O ne of my other most fabulous lines of all! My true original Victorian pillow line. I have spent the most part of the past 20 years collecting and treasuring Victorian fabrics, thats right, original late 1800's satin damasks and satin brocades & mixing and matching them with barkcloth and other vintage fabrics. The success has been overwhelming. My designs are world wide, from the United States to France, Germany, Australia, Italy and everyw in between. Finally my love of vintage fabrics has made an impact on the world. Certainly not everyone "gets it" using true antique fabrics, but those who have a keen eye for something truly precious, treasured and rare, completely understand the value and desire to own a one of a kind antique document like this. Many attribute my collections of Victorian fabrics to haunted houses and the like. And maybe so, it is no coincidence that these fabrics have endured many universal and spiritual journeys themselves. Being around for over a 100 years, the energy, care and pure pleasure that came from these fabrics from their original owners is in and of itself a simple miracle that they even still exist. I have been in exquisite homes in my years, I am very lucky, I have bought some very rare fabrics and am happy to bring them from my home to yours for you to enjoy and cherish. T his 1880's satin damask fabric was found in a Ocean Grove NJ Victorian, a home that went through generations of the same family, adjacent to "Tent City" w even today generations of families use these colorful tents to pass on the Victorian traditions to their loved ones and children. This home was more than a home, it was a HUGE retreat house for Methodist vacationers who wanted to get their fill of the beautiful beaches, while worshipping at the nearby Ocean Grove Auditorium. A approx 10,000 sq ft gingerbread 4 story, I was able to buy out all of the textiles from windows to furniture and anyw I could scrap a remnant. That was when Ocean Grove went from a haven for homeless, a mass exodus of families and a decline that was never thought to come back. It was at that time that these homes and hotels were being emptied out for resale. This fabric was one of four drapery panels that hung in one of two parlors, a French Satin Damask in a splendid jade silver green with very light pink Queen Annes Lace flowers and ribbons cascading. This is such a fabulously feminine fabric. Very lighty and airy looking and a perfect accent for that dressing room budoir chair you have been meaning to accentuate. T were views from many rooms of the ocean, and eaves of the house with victorian gingerbread that was so ostentatious, it resembled icicles 2 feet long around the whole house. The house was in a state of disrepair and I practically fell through the porch, the drapes seemed to fare better than the house. Today the house is a showplace and has been completely restored. T his pillow has a wonderful jade silvery green front side, and the same fabric on the back, very classic French with even the piping the same fabric. This is the type of pillow that can add simple charm to a room that really silently screams of attention and ones focus. And after professionally cleaning the fabric I turned them into souvenirs of their time, nice big FAT pillows, 23x23 with a tailored piping around the entire pillow. A nice big huge 24x24 pillow is stuffed inside. So the pillow is so big, not only will it be a focal point to any room, but can also be used as a back cushion on a chair or sofa. While the condition of this fabric is incredibly good, which comes from being lined with a 1/2 inch insulation in between the lining and the drapery, so the sun never hit it, t can sometimes be imperfections in these antique finds that are just natural to their age and add...
