is a really superb pair of Napoleon III era Hand Painted Opera glasses dating to around 1860?. The background enamel colour almost looks black but it is indeed a very deep blue decorated sparkling stars. All four oval panels contain a beautifully executed hand painted floral scene surrounded with cabochon beading all intact and without loss. A wonderful pairin great condition for t age; Except for the cracks in the plastic eye pieces and small dents in brass rings. It's measuring 4 1/8" wide x 1 3/4" expanding to 2 5/8".
