Antique French Sevres soft paste porcelain cabinet plate date marked L C1765 Superb Cabinet plate early Sevres & date letter 1765 Genuine 18thC pieces of Sevres are rare and often copied but this is the real thing.Please check the pictures and email me if you need any more information.Reasonable start price and guarenteed authentic. Superb condition,virtually no wear,no damage and no restoration.It is in as good as you could find condition,all the gilding,enamels are fine with no rubbing or damage noticable to the naked eye with only the slightest microscopic scratches when viewed under a magnifying glass.It has the double L mark in overglaze blue,date letter "L" for 1765.It is a soft paste piece,characteristic of early Sevres and not high fired hard paste that appeared from the 1769 onward.The ground colour is a dark apple green popular of the period,the three dimensional raised gilding has been built up over an underglaze blue guide (visible with a glass,note painters cypher verso) and centre decorated with an exquisite floral spray.Pictures speak for themselves,this is a superb quality piece in great condition,thanks for looking.
