Complete with its original cobalt blue crystal liner, this glorious sugar bowl features pierced sides draped with elegant laurel swags, ribbon and perlé bedecked cartouches, majestic upwardly sweeping foliate capped handles, and stands on four elaborately detailed hoof feet. It is stamped on body, handles, lid and finial with the French Minerve 950 mark, and carries the maker's mark for Charles-Alexander LAVALLÃ%E, who commenced trading in 1855, rue du Marché-Sainte-Catherine, Paris. Condition is excellent, just one or two minuscule nips to the liner's rim to note. A very beautiful and unique addition to a fine silver collection. Please refer to images for measurements.
