Extremely nice P.W. Houchin gas lamp lighter dated April 11 1865. This is very rare, ornate and well made for some thing used simply for lighting a gas chandelier or other ceiling lights in the 1800's. Notice ribbing on shaft and ornate workmanship on valve lock. Has wood handle but not sure of type, and the rest is brass. Total lenght is 29 1/2". Houchin is written on one side and New York on other side of valve lock. Unique conversation piece or great addition for that century home with antique light fixtures. Any questions please ask. Thanks
