7 1/4" Diameter
Unusually large, this is an old beauty.
The nature lover as well as the collector of unusual antique stoneware
will be delighted.
The maker's mark is baffling, but the transfer is brilliant.
Vividly colored flowers that actually shimmer in the light.
The pink is gorgeous.
The pensive peacock gazing at the bird flying overhead
is an enchanting scene.
Still with a rich glossy glaze.
T is a truly difficult to see (1/4" long) hairline by the hole
(my arrow pointing on close up pic), 1 glaze pop on the cobalt of the
top rim and a few wear spots to the mustard yellow trim underneath.
I suspect a Staffordshire pottery and especially early.
The letters PW are impressed in the blank, bottom left.
