A genuine antique African lion's claw (two claws), capped with sterling silver or something very close to sterling, in a traditional Eastern African pattern. These are actual genuine African lion's claws, of substantial age, obtained legally from a trader-seller friend of mine who travels regularly to Ethiopia and other parts of Africa. In some African tribal cultures, a man was not allowed to wear such a powerful talisman unless he had participated in a lion kill, or performed some other great deed of courage and skill. The condition is mostly good, being very solid, and easy to hang as a pendant just like it is, about 55 mm or over two inches wide and 45 mm or almost 2 inches from top to bottom in a straight line. The silver could be easily polished up if so desired. Due to export restrictions, we are sorry but this item cannot be shipped outside the United States.
