Hand Painted Antique, Genuine French Limoges Tray
with Split Center Handles 11" long X 6 1/2" wide X 3" high 28 cm long X 17 cm wide X 8 cm high Such a Lovely Dish in Wonderful Condition from about 95 years ago! Tray is a Scalloped Oval shape w/ Raised Embossing Gold Handle is a Curved Twig shape that Splits into two Topped w/ an elegant Flower, it would support the holder's thumb HAND PAINTED DECORATION: 3 Large Open Flowers, perhaps wild roses, in Pink & Green 2 Pink Buds & many Green Leaves w/ Brown Accents on a field of Pale Green w/ Shading of Peach & Yellow Real Gold paints a thin ribbon around the top edge & thick Gold Gilding on the Ornate Handle It is in superb condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing The gold on the handle has a little wear, consistant with its age The markers mark is W. G. & Co Limoges France in GREEN It indicates Guerin & Cie made the tray between 1891 to 1932 The painting has obviously been done by a skilled hand.
