This is a quietly "swellegant" old Arts and Crafts (see neat old flower designs in the field) and geometric patterned hooked rug. It is 4 feet wide and 7 feet long. As you can see, in photos 9 and 10, this has been loved and preserved as it has some hand-stitched mending on the ends (matching rug or seam binding has been hand-sewn around those edges to prevent and allay fraying). It is made of wool, has a "shabby chic" look as t is some wear on the edges and a light area which may have been a spill years ago (and may or may not come out... see photo 1 in the lower right corner) and a few very tiny light spots if one searches for them. Overall, it is an old well taken care of beauty, as mentioned above, with lots of life left.
