Gorgeous Silver Black Dot Diamond Paste Daisy Pendant Necklace c1830 Antique Georgian Daisy Silver Diamond Paste & Pearl Pendant Drop Necklace c1830 Over View An exquisite Georgian pendant, made from silver, set with sparkling diamond paste stones with black dot centers. It has a very pretty floral design incorporating a daisy cluster and a floral spray decoration. Suspended from the bottom is a single cultured pearl with beautiful luster . Skilled lapidaries of that time that cut and polished Diamonds by hand also cut and polished these paste stones with the same technique giving them a superior quality. That is what makes these stones so special, they have all the luster and sparkle of real diamonds and are exquisite to look at. The pendant hangs on a silver chain which fastens with a bolt ring clasp. Size/Measurements The total drop measurement of the pendant is 4cm and the width is 3.2cm. The chain measures 17 inches long. Metal/hallmarks The pendant and chain are made from silver but there are no hallmarks which is not uncommon for jewellery of the period. The metal has been professionally tested and confirmed to be silver. Stones/beads Diamond paste & cultured pearl Condition The pendant is in excellent condition. There are no missing stones and they are all clear , bright and very sparkly with no discoloured or chipped ones. The chain fastens with a bolt ring clasp which is in good working order and fastens securely. I don't think the pearl is the original one, it is most likely a replacement. Summary Beautiful quality, rare pendant necklace in excellent condition.
