Our Ebay Store Reproduction Georgian-Style Mahogany Writing Desk / Table This beautiful mahogany writing table was recently hand-crafted in England as a reproduction of a 19th-century Georgian-period desk/table. Every aspect of this writing table is of the absolute highest quality. The mahogany looks great, with a nice color and very pronounced grain it's sure to make a bold impression on any room. Fine satinwood inlay along the drawer fronts and skirt complements the mahogany beautifully. The drawers come equipped with solid brass hardware, which contrasts with the wood very nicely, and they also feature hand-cut dovetailed joints, which are a sign of fine craftsmanship. The top of this piece is a writing surface of fine, brown leather bordered with embossing and decorative gold tooling. The leather really makes a great writing surface, far superior to wood, glass, metal, or plastic. This table sits on turned, fluted legs that complement the rounded corners and are also quite sturdy so t shouldn't be any concern about stability.
